Common Noun
Definition – Common nouns are general or non-specific words. It indicates group or class of the people. They are not capitalised unless they appear at the beginning of a sentence.
Examples – Dog, City, Book, Boy, Girl
Proper Noun
Definition – Proper nouns are names for the particular people, places or things. Proper nouns are start with capital letters.
Examples – Jack, London, Harry Potter, Tony, Lisa.
The names of countries and their people are also proper noun.
